Sticko Kumwenda was elected as the vice president and Tom Bulirani was elected treasurer.  Hamida Banda was elected as secretary while Rev. Masopera Muhowe was elected as a member.

Dr. Kaonga singled out increasing membership of the SACCO as his immediate assignment on the position.

“The good thing with Sacco is that their interest rates will be affordable and they can easily repay loans. There were instances where a teacher could not receive his or her salary because of big debts and we want to address that,” he said.
