MCP Sets August 8th to 10th For its Elective Convention

The Malawi Congress Party has set 8th to 10th of August this year as the dates for its elective convention but the venue is yet to be announced.

In a public statement secretary general Eisenhower Mkaka says the party’s chairperson for the North-North Region Kezzie Msukwa has been nominated to chair the elective convention’s steering committee.

Political analyst Ernest Thindwa while commending the party for setting the dates has asked the party to ensure the elective convention is held in a democratic process including allowing people to choose leaders of their choice.
