New Civil Rights- CDEDI-Group Emergencies

As the country awaits court ruling in the Presidential Election case, a new organization-Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative-CDEDI has emerged, calling for peace and co-existence among political leaders and all Malawians.

At a press briefing in Lilongwe this morning, the organization, chaired by former aid to President Peter Mutharika, Silvester Namiwa,  called on Mutharika, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera- Leader of Malawi Congress Party and UTM President Dr. Saulos Chilima, to come together and denounce politically sponsored violence.
