Malawi Chewa Group to Hold Parallel Chifukwato Ceremony
Barely a few days after some the Chewa people led by Chewa Heritage Foundation celebrated Kulamba ceremony in Zambia, another Chewa group called Malawi Chewa Heritage has announced it will hold a parallel local event.
Dubbed Chifukwato cha a Chewa, it will be held at paramount Lundu's headquarters in Chikwawa on 12 October.
The grouping says the events celebrates the honor of Paramount Chief Lundu whom they claim is overshadowed by Kalonga Gawa Undi’s reign in Zambia.
