CHREAA Alleges Police Extra-Judicial Killings

The Malawi Police is back in the limelight again. And again for a bad reason. It is being accused of conducting extrajudicial killings of former convicts.
This claims are contained in a report titled ‘Operation Elimination’, released by the Center for Human Rights Education, Advice and Assistance- CHREAA. The report alleges that police shot over 40 former convicts in the back while they were bound, execution-style. Police spokesperson, James Kadadzela, refused to comment on the report.
