Malawi Public Schools Vulnerable

It has emerged that most public schools in the country do not have title deeds as required by law, a development which has makes them vulnerable to encroachment.
Yusufu Nthenda, a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee which is investigating illegal sale of public land said this last night in the Views Triangle a live discussion program on Zodiak Radio. He said some individuals are exploiting this weakness and occupying school spaces. Meanwhile, experts have called for the introduction of strict laws to govern land ownership.
