MET Predicts Floods in Central Region

The Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services says the next three days will see Malawi receive heavy rains which will likely cause floods in lakeshore areas and some parts of the central region.

Department Director, Jolam Nkhokwe, told us a very deep low pressure system embedded with the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) passing over the country will cause heavy thunderstorms and drop the rains.
