Army Worms War: Political Will Absent

Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture says lack of political will is negatively affecting the fight against army worms which are attacking thousands of hectares of crop fields in Malawi for about five years now.

Speaking to Zodiak Online Tuesday vice chairperson of the committee, Ulemu Chilapondwa, accused the ministry of focusing less on dealing with the problem which is leading to food insecurity in the country.

There has, however, been no immediate comment from the ministry of agriculture on the matter.
