The suspect, 33-year-old Lowe Moses, is alleged to have hit the police officer with a stone in the head sending him unconscious.

Dedza police assistant spokesperson, Cassim Manda, says the police officer was investigating the suspect on a matter that was reported at the police station.

Further investigations into the second incident have been instituted and Moses is expected in court immediately after that process.
