Health authorities in Mangochi district have asked partners to assist them with chlorine and Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) as the district continues to register more cholera cases.

The Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) has assured hunger stricken families targeted to benefit from the 2022/23 lean season response in Lulanga and Makanjira in Mangochi district that they will start receiving their provisions from next week.

In Mangochi district, Police have arrested a man whom they have identified as  Abubakar Ayilu, 43, on allegations that he shot to death, Rabson Allie, 53, with unidentified rifle on suspicion that he was having a love affair with his wife.

Mangochi Police Station has registered an overall 16 Percent crime decrease in the just ended year 2022.
