First Lady's Shaping Our Future Foundation has bailed out deaf learners in special needs institutions with transparent face shields and food stuffs to ease challenges the institutions are facing in the wake of the Covid19 pandemic.

A recent survey conducted by Mzimba District Education Network - MZIDEN with support from Civil Society Education Coalition - CISEC finds that Mzimba District is short of specialist teachers, a development they allege is hampering the education of learners with disabilities in the district.
