14-year-old Joyce Ngoma dreams of becoming a medical doctor when she grows up.

Joyce a standard 6 learner at Lwanjazi primary school felt her dreams had been shattered when government announced the closure of schools to curb the spread of the novel Corona virus.

A consortium of three organizations - Gender Justice Unit - GJU , Women Lawyers Association and Women Judges Association of Malawi - WOJAM has rolled out mobile legal clinics aimed at sensitizing victims of gender based violence on how they can seek justice using available statutes.

Word Alive Commission for Relief and Development - WACRAD has supported schools in its Edingeni catchment area in Mzimba with covid19 prevention essentials worth K5 million in preparation for their reopening as announced in September as announced by the government. 

 

Authorities at Embangweni Mission Hospital in Mzimba have appealed to well-wishers to support them with 6 million kwacha to finish construction of Engalaweni Health Center which will carter a population of over 25,000 people if completed.
