The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security says mobile markets are the only options to ease congestion and struggles in buying farm inputs under the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP) registered in most selling points across the country.

Police in Chikwawa have intercepted two trucks full of bags of fertilizer heading to Blantyre amid growing concerns that a lot of people are struggling to access the farm inputs from the Affordable Input Program (AIP).

Beneficiaries of Affordable Input Programme (AIP) in Thyolo and Phalombe have complained of poor   network and overpricing of inputs calling upon government to move in and address the challenges.
