Women journalist under the banner Association of Women in Media (AWOME) have marched in the country’s streets of Blantyre and Lilongwe protesting rampant cases of rape and defilement on women and girls.

The Media Institute of Southern Africa MISA) - Malawi Chapter has joined forces with the Women Lawyers Association (WLA Malawi) and Association of Women in Media (AWOME) in an effort to fight sexual harassment in the media industry.
