Authorities at Chikwawa District Council have expressed optimism that conditions and services will likely improve following a five day hands on training on review of service and conditions.

Commotion marred the Chikwawa full council emergency meeting on Friday when councilors and chiefs traded barbs as the councilors refused to discuss the COVID-19 preventive tough measures without a report from health and environment service committee.

Mess has rocked revenue collection activities in Chikwawa as the council is reported to be using market sweepers as revenue collectors.
