Development Communications Trust (DCT) has called on journalists in the country to report objectively on issues concerning children and the youth  arguing their actions in such reports can perpetrate violence against minors.

A recent research conducted by Nkhumba Youth Network in Phalombe has revealed that child marriages, gender-based violence and harmful cultural practices are prevalent in matrilineal societies in the district.
