Thyolo Stadium Delays Worry PACENET, Council

The Pan African Civic Educator Network (PACENET) is concerned with the delays to complete the 22, 000 seat Thyolo stadium, owing to government's funding inconsistencies.

Thyolo Stadium to be Completed in February 2023

There are high prospects that a 20, 000 capacity Thyolo stadium will be completed by February 2023 following a nod by Public Procurement and Disposal Authority (PPDA) to revise the construction budget of the facility from K2.6 billion to K5. 6 billion, Thyolo District Commissioner, Douglas Moffat says.

Cost implications triggered by the recent devaluation of the Kwacha and fuel hike have forced authorities in Thyolo to extend deadline of a 20, 000-seater Thyolo stadium.
