The Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court in Mangochi on Monday August 09, 2021, sentenced 28-year-old, Willard Chimwaza, to a total of 63 years’ imprisonment with hard labour, 21 each for trafficking in persons and raping two women aged 18 and 22.

Police in eastern region have called upon communities to join hands in addressing rape and defilement cases that have gone up to 43.2 percent.
