The Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) has called for a mindset change among the citizens if the war against climate change and disaster risk reduction is to be won.

The Civil Society Network on Climate Change in Malawi (CISONECC) has challenged the people of Neno to adopt sustainable climate change adaptation methods that would reduce impact of disasters among the vulnerable groups of people.

Malawi on Thursday, 13 February 2010, made a bold decision in its quest to deal with the impact of climate change by passing the Forest Amendment Act. It was in response to unprecedented impact climate change had on the Sub-Saharan country.
