Civil Sporting Revert to Old Name - Civil Service FC
Civil Sporting Club have announced the change of name from Civil Sporting Club to the old name Civil Service Football Club-CIVO.
According to the club’s general secretary Ronald Chiwaula, this is due to the recommendation from the sponsors, Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) to revert to the former name Civil Service Football Club-CIVO.
“The decision as per sponsors recommendation has been arrived at due to some difficulties in records keeping since the name was changed in 2017.” Chiwaula said.
CIVO Sporting used the name previously before they got relegated in 2016
They bought Epac United which were still in the league at that time, and changed to Civil Sporting Club.
