Boost for NBB - Lanjesi Could be Available During 2020 Season
John Lanjesi could hand Nyasa Big Bullets a major boost as the Flames star may return from injury midway the season.
Lanjesi missed the entire 2019 football season after picking up a hamstring injury during a national team assignment in May 2018.
The injury, saw Lanjesi re-aggravate an old issue that kept him out for 8 months (He got a calf injury in Flames 1-3 defeat to Zimbabwe in an African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying match in June 2018).
Prior to the injury, Lanjesi had captained NBB to a 3-0 win over Mlatho Mponera in the TNM Super League.
Sources have told Zodiak online that the former Civil Service United star is recovering well from his injury.
Lanjesi is already walking normally and has passed a medical review with positive results, giving the club hope that he could return midway the season.
In fact, the defender believes that he could be back in time to help Nyasa Big Bullets to a third successive league title.
As things stand, Bullets will kick-off their 2020 campaign with their annual bonanza scheduled for later this month followed by the EcoBank Charity Shield but Lanjesi will not be available to feature for the people’s team.
Up first, though, Nyasa Big Bullets need to navigate the road to Lanjesi’s potential return.
Nyasa Big Bullets have been linked with a move for Nickson Mwase from Civil Service United.
