Silver Strikers Unveil Davie,Kamanga and Singini

Silver Strikers coach Daniel Kabwe says he will make three more signings before the closure of the transfer window having completed the signing of TN Stars forward Stain Davie, Chikondi Kamanga and Karonga United goal minder Antony Singini.

Kabwe says the decision to sign the three players was made collectively by the technical panel with the aim of enhancing competition for places amongst the players.

“I did not make the decision to sign the three players myself, it was a collective decision by the entire technical panel because we are aiming high and we know what we want.

“Davie is quiet a good catch for us and his arrival will surely elevate the competition among our strikers because all of them will be fighting for a starting berth which is good for us as a team.

“Am sure we will benefit from the competition in terms of getting the goals, we already have Michael Tetteh and Foster Bitoni in our ranks we just have to find the right combinations surely we will be fine, Kabwe said.

Meanwhile the Zambian tactician disclosed that he will promote seven players from the reserve side which finished third in the 2019 Central Region Football Association Chipiku league to cover the list of players that were released by the bankers.

Earlier this month Silver “The Bankers” Strikers released 17 players all by different reasons.

“It was in the public domain that we released 17 players and it is also a fact that we need to bring in new players to fill the void but now we cannot just get anyone just for the sake of signing players we also need to consider a number of things before any transfer is made.

“Our reserve side did well in Chipiku league and almost every player there deserves a call to the senior team but we cannot do that, we considered the places that we thought might need reinforcement and we made a decision to promote seven players from the reserve side and right now we are just observing them before we make the final decision,” Kabwe added.

In his remarks on and off Flames forward Stain Davie said he was delighted to sign for a club like Silver Strikers having seen the first attempt to move to the bankers in 2018 fail through.

“I am excited to be part of this amazing club with history, I know I will have to fight for my place but what matters is what I can bring to the club.

“He (Kabwe) is a very nice person we have met and had a chance to talk just a little bit and am convinced am at the right club at the right time with the right people at every corner.

“My job is to score goals and help my team to win and that’s what I have come here to do,” Davie said.

Kamanga made the switch from wanderers ranks having impressed the coaches during their friendly match against Sable Farming on Friday, whereas Singini was instrumental in Karonga United's run to the 2019 Airtel Top8 finals.

The three have taken the number of new players at Silver Strikers to four after they signed Foster Bitoni from Blue Eagles early this month.

Silver will kick off its 2020 football season with the EcoBank Charity Shield scheduled for 14th and 15th March 2020.
