Flames starlet Peter Banda has expressed excitement to stay with TNM Super League champions, Nyasa Big Bullets after signing a three-year permanent deal.

Banda was loaned to Bullets from Griffin Young Stars and his engagement period was coming to an end next month thereby inviting interest from other league teams like Silver Strikers.

The 2019 TNM Super League player of the season has committed to a three-year contract, tying him to The People’s Team until 2023.

While some teams were still eyeing him, the People's team struck a fast one making the lad pen a permanent deal.

This ends speculations about the 19-year-old’s future with the defending champions as several clubs were reportedly interested in the prolific attacker.

In an interview after signing the deal, Banda said he feels happy and proud to be part of Nyasa Big Bullets.

"My career started shaping up at this amazing club (Bullets). My debut season in the league with the team was so fantastic and I am looking forward to good times since I now know what the league requires.

“I believe this is an opportunity for me to perfect my performance and do more. “I had some perfect moments in the league, some not so good but going into the second season I think with the little experience I have obtained I will help the club to more silverware,” Banda said.

The son to former Bullets star, Chikondi Banda, won the player of the season award during his maiden appearance in the elite league.

He was taken on board by Bullets straight from the First Capital Under 20 League where he also steered his side to a national championship.

Banda also captured the interest of foreign teams and once had a stint with a South African side Orlando Pirates for trials.

He also plays for the Malawi national football team, the Flames.
