Kakhobwe, Gabeya Left Out of 2022 NBB Squad
Flames goalkeeper Ernest Kakhobwe and center-back, Miracle Gabeya, have been left out of Nyasa Big Bullets’ final 30-man squad for this year’s football campaign which kicks off next weekend.
The two have been protesting over signing-on fees which the club offered for them to extend their contracts.
A statement from the club says players who have been registered with football authorities are the ones who have signed new contracts and others whose contracts expired but have extended their stay at the club.
The final squad also has new seven players who have been promoted from the team’s reserve side and three more new signings, namely; Haji Wali, Mphatso Magaleta who have joined the club as free agents.
Robert Saizi is another new face at the People’s Team who has joined from Play Football Malawi and has been registered as a semi-senior, meaning he will be featuring for both the senior and reserve side.
Nyasa Big Bullets will play Silver Strikers in the season-opener Charity Shield in Blantyre next weekend.
