Nyasa Big Bullets FC have been crowned 2019 TNM Super League following a 2 nil win over TN Stars in the final match of the season played at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.

Peter Banda put bullets in the lead before Hassan Kajoke doubled the lead 2 minutes towards the end of the first half to claim the prestigious trophy.

Bullets coach, Callisto Pasuwa, was over the moon for defending the championship.

“As a coach, you need a silverware. It was, however, a very difficult season to us; Wanderers kept us on toes until the last day of the season. We brought in young boys from reserve side and we bought some.

“We played champions league with and we saw they could stoop up to the pressure and we have defended the championship,” Pasuwa said.

Bullets finished the league with 70 points with their closest challengers Mighty Be-Forward finishing with 69 points having beaten Mlatho Mponela by 3 goals to nil at Civo stadium on Sunday.
