IT Support Technician (Intern)

The IT Support Intern actively contributes to a range of tasks and projects, acquiring hands-on experience in the dynamic field of information technology. Engaging in troubleshooting activities, they play a pivotal role in addressing technical challenges, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and Broadcasting, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the organization's technological resources.

1. Duties and Responsibilities:

1.1 Technical Support:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users within the broadcasting station.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to resolve technical problems promptly.

1.2 Systems Maintenance:

  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform routine checks and updates to ensure optimal performance.

1.3 Equipment Installation and Configuration:

  • Assist in the installation and configuration of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and broadcasting-related hardware.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to set up and maintain audiovisual equipment.

1.4 User Training:

  • Provide basic training to end-users on the use of IT systems and equipment.
  • Create documentation and guides for common technical issues and resolutions.

1.5 IT Inventory Management:

  • Assist in maintaining an updated inventory of IT equipment and accessories.
  • Support the IT team in procurement processes and tracking of IT assets.

1.6 Security Measures:

  • Participate in implementing and maintaining security measures for IT systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

1.7 Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with broadcasting and production teams to address IT-related requirements.
  • Provide technical support during live broadcasts and recording sessions.

2. Requirements and Qualifications:

2.1 Educational Background:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

2.2 Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with computer networks and configurations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.

2.3 Communication Skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.

2.4 Team Collaboration:

  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn from senior technicians and contribute to team goals.
