Angie Mwafulirwa is the chaiperson for Sharpen Her - The African Womens Network (SHAWN). SHAWN was officially launched on 9th March, 2019. Angie is passionate about women, refugees and asylum seekers and the challenges they face. She works as a community development worker and her role gives her the opportunity to give back to these groups of people.
She says her passion mainly derives from the fact that she has had experience of being a migrant having to jump through so many hurdles in the journey to settlement in the UK. Navigating life in a tough and alien system shaped Angie into an activist, hence the desire to support other women.

In this chat he tells me about his brief ban to visit Zambia, his stint as Director of Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission and his charity organisation.
