Mozambican Music Promoter Incorporates Malawian Musicians
A renowned Mozambican music promoter Wisdom Magagula says is set to go beyond the borders eyeing Malawi and South Africa first.
Magagula of Magagula fresh farms in Mozambique says among other initiatives, he will be inviting several artists from Malawi and other countries for shows in Mozambique.
He said:- "One example is Skeffa Chimoto from Malawi whom I am sponsoring on his show for this year's independence day celebration on June 25th.
"I am working hand in hand with the Malawi Consulate in Tete towards this initiative."
According to Magagula, the first show under his promotion for musicians from Malawi, South Africa and Mozambique will be in Tete province on 24th September this year.
Malawian musician Skeffa Chimoto says this is a commendable initiative.
"I am glad that this time the Malawian embassy through its consulate in Tete thought of me this time around, and that Magagula Fresh farms came in to sponsor my availability there," said Chimoto.
Malawi consul general for Tete Happy Saka said music is business, and his office will do anything possible to safeguard Malawian musicians in such deals.
Saka said:-"We have so far assisted some musicians already and this time around we thought of Skeffa Chimoto who is coming to perfome in Tete and one Music promoter based here offered to sponsor Chimoto and The Real sounds band.
"He has also expressed interest to promote more Malawian musicians as people this side follow our artists."
