Sycamore Consult Limited has trained staff of the CDH Investment Bank on how well they can manage their personal finances.

The company’s chief operations officer, Nelson Nkwende, says the bank saw the need to prepare their employees in as far as financial management is concerned.

“If you do not have good strategies in as far as personal finance management is concerned, it becomes a challenge. What happens is that you could have stress that comes with you especially during retirement. If the people are properly trained, they will be able to restructure their lives to do better than before.

“In the training there are modules such as wealth creation, financial discipline and entrepreneurship. These will help the people in terms of finance management. We commend the bank for sending the people for the training,” he said.

The bank’s assistant administration manager, Nq’bile Victoria Medi, said the training is timely.

“It is very important especially in this era we are going through with social pressure. People would want to live life that is not exactly what they are to live so you need to understand and know how to manage finances; know how much you earn and how to spend it.

“As we are working, the salaries may not be enough but we need something to cover up so that we are not stressed to manage our finances,” she said.

The training was held at Crossroads Hotel in Blantyre on Saturday.
