Thyolo Registers First COVID-19 Death
Thyolo district has registered first death of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Director of health and social services at Thyolo district council Dr. Arnold Jumbe confirmed to us the death was due to COVID-19 and he said the man died at Thyolo district hospital where he was admitted.
He said currently the team is on the ground tracing contacts of the deceased.
“This is the first COVID-19 death to be registered in Thyolo of the 20 cases reported so far,” said Dr. Jumbe.
As of Wednesday morning, Malawi had registered 1877 COVID-19 cases, 24 deaths and 345 recoveries.
