The group, apart from giving out hampers to the patients in the female and children’s wards, also mopped at the hospital.

Director for the group, Sam Boris, told Zodiak Online that the group chose to cheer the sick at the hospital because they were looking for a group of mothers who could have loved to celebrate their day as others were doing, but could not due to circumstances they are going through.

“These women could have loved to celebrate this day in other way, but they are here, so we thought of showing some love to them,” said Boris.

He said the gesture was also in one way or the other to teach other youths on how things should be, saying such gesture is part of transformational leadership which is required for youths in the country to realize their potentials for the betterment of the country.

“Youths need motivation and someone to inspire them, if our leaders will demonstrate such qualities it’s easy to groom youth into good citizens,” said Boris.

One of the guardians in the children’s ward, Simiya Mustafa, who has a child with hydrocephalus condition hailed the group saying she has been in the hospital for weeks and is only depending on well-wishers for assistance.

The donated items include, washing soap, rice, sugar and salt which according to the group were sourced from some well-wishers and individual contributions from group members.
