A reknowned motivational speaker Amos Suluma has challenged Adventist men to be economically sustainable by venturing into a diverse of entrepreneurships as they are reliable their families and the church.

Suluma spoke on Sunday, the third day of a four day seminar for Adventist Men Organization (AMO) under Luchenza-Phalombe-Mulanje (LUPEMU) zone.

“You should not forget that you are responsible for most of the needs of your families and again the church needs you most in its developments and it is therefore important to do some businesses and be able to support both your families and the church,” said Suluma.

Suluma who works as General Manager of Naming’omba Tea Estate Company encouraged the men to network with small, middle and even large scale businesspersons to acquire knowledge and experience.

AMO-LUPEMU zonal patron Pastor Peter Msuka emphasized on management of stress which he argued is leading to escalating suicide cases among men.

“As a church, we are concerned with increasing number of people that are taking their own lives and most of them unfortunately are men who are already few in all communities including the church, so I ask you to continue organizing these events and share your personal challenges and solutions,” said Pastor Msuka.

Evangelist Eliot Kusimbwe tipped the men on types, preparation and composition of sermons.

“Make sure you ask your sermon questions and see if it is responding to expectations of listeners before taking it to the pulpit,” said Evangelist Kusimbwe.

The seminar started on Friday ended on Monday with the Adventist men going home with basic knowledge in book binding, screen printing, peanut butter, cooking oil and juice making, security tips, natural healing, do.do.do and family life.
