Sambaya Foundation Challenges Parents in Thyolo on Children's Education
A philanthropist has urged parents in Thyolo not to compromise on disciplining and encouraging their children on education if they are to attain the brighter future.
Despite that there is human rights, Odillo Sambaya Foundation Executive Director, Joseph Sambaya believes that the education is key for a prosperous nation, families and individuals.
"For us we are encouraging children that no mater what, education is key. Whatever happens in the house if we are to prosper parents have to make sure their children have attained education," Sambaya said.
Sambaya made the appeal on Friday after the foundation donated 217 school uniforms to vulnerable learners worth K570, 000 at Nahache, Nyambalo and Kalimbuka primary schools in the district.
Nahache primary school headteacher, Mickion Ndebvu said the donation is a great motivation to the education of vulnerable learners.
"Some of the learners were failing to attend classes because they had no clothes to put on. So because of this donation I hope it will help the learners to attend classes from Monday through Friday," He said.
Meanwhile, Group Village Headman Ngulube says will take to task parents neglecting and marrying off children in the area.
