Maranatha Academy Awards Form 4 Best Performers

Maranatha International Academy has awarded best performing Form 4 students as they await the Malawi School Certificate of Education examination.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday during the graduation ceremony at Robins Park in Blantyre.

The Academy’s Managing Director, Ernest Kaonga, said that they decided to award the best performing students as one way of motivating them.

“We assure them that the best is yet to come from us. We have also awarded students from public schools because we believe in helping the government in uplifting the educations standards,” he said.

The outgoing head prefect, Foster Pemba , advised parents to send their children to Maranatha describing the academy as the best.

“Since the time l joined this school l must admit that my performance in class improved a lot and its because of the dedicated teachers and management,” he said.

Esther Chavula emerged overall awardee after scoring 6 points during mock examinations.

Some students, who also performed well during mock examinations and different disciplines, were also spoiled with money ranging from K200, 000 to K100, 000 the lowest.

Outstanding teachers were also rewarded with money with the overall, Montfort Mitungwi, going home with K5 million while the lowest got K1 million.
