The Neno First Grade Magistrate court has today, Friday, found a former Primary Education Advisor (PEA) Benito Mpapa aged 61-years with a case to answer on charges of having sexual intercourse with a female child and impregnating her.

The case has since been adjourned to Wednesday next week and his bail application has been denied by first grade Magistrate Margret Khobili saying he might interfere with witnesses.

"You will be remanded to Mwanza prison until that day we will commence your trial. We will continue with the case even without your lawyer", said Khobili.

The suspect has also failed to bring to court his legal aid as per his request saying the counsel was not feeling well.

He is being accused of defiling a 16-year-old female child and impregnating her.
