APM Calls for LDC's Support
President Peter Mutharika has called on the international community to support member states to support the Least Developed Counties,of which he is Chairperson, with about 5.2 billion US dollars to deal with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a statement released by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kondwani Nankhumwa, the funds will be in form of emergency budgetary support.
The call by President Mutharika has been made in a statement issued to the UN Secretary General and other heads of multilateral bodies and philathropists.
