Reverend Bizwick Nkhoma of the Nkhoma Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian CCAP has been elected as Moderator of the CCAP General Assembly, in an election conducted on Thursday in Lilongwe.

Rev. Nkhoma has replaced Rev. Dr. Timothy Nyasulu of Livingstonia Synod, whose term has ended.

Rev. Chizasoni Chunda of the Synod of Zambia has been elected as Vice Moderator. Rev. Mwabi Nyirenda Chilongosi of the Livingstonia Synod has been elected Secretary General , while Rev. Dr. Getrude Kapuma  of the Blantyre Synod has been elected 1st Deputy Secreatey General with Rev. Kingston Chipata  - Synod of Harare, is the new 2nd Deputy Secretary General.

In an interview after the elections, Rev Nkhoma told us that the whole CCAP body and beyond should expect continued co-existence and unity among its faithful including the promotion of both the education and health sectors.
 
He says a holistic approach to life is among the synods mandate of fulfilling the great commission of winning should to Christ.
 
The CCAP General Assembly sits over the five synods namely Livingstonia, Nkhoma, Blantyre, Zambia and Zimbabwe, with a tenure of 5 years.
