Shadow Cabinet Attracts Dissenting Views

The recent appointment of a shadow cabinet by the leader of opposition in Parliament, Kondwani Nankhumwa, continues to attract dissenting views as Joseph Mwanamvekha and Bright Msaka have excused themselves from the appointments.

Professor of Law from the University of Malawi Edge Kanyongolo, says the leader of opposition operates within parliamentary standing orders hence no need to question the prerogative of the shadow cabinet.

George Allan Phiri a Political commentator has also questioned the legality of the shadow cabinet.

We now understand that there is a massive rejection of the appointments the latest being Vuwa Kaunda and Jappie Mhango after the DPP publicly distanced itself from it.
