Safe Motherhood Advisor Proposes 2-Children-Per Family

Presidential advisor on safe motherhood Dorothy Ngoma has proposed that government should consider two children per family policy as a measure of controlling the booming population.

Speaking in Zomba when she met wives and female faith leaders, Ngoma said in 20 years to come population projection is at around 40 million, a development she said is unimaginable.

Reverend Lucy Phanga of Namadidi CCAP called upon health authorities to ensure that family planning interventions are friendly to mothers and society as a whole.
