Suspected Thugs Attack Police Officer In Blantyre
Suspected thugs in Blantyre have attacked a police officer and allegedly snatched his riffle and eight rounds of ammunition among other items.
Deputy National Police publicist, Harry Namwaza has confirmed the incident happened last evening, around Mapanga industrial area in Limbe township of Blantyre, but says, they have deployed intelligence officers to recover the items including the weapon.
The officer was also robbed off his K5,400 cash and an Itel mobile phone according to a police report we have seen.
