Bishop Mtumbuka on Mob Justice

Head of the Catholic diocese of Karonga, Bishop Martin Mtumbuka, has demanded of government redoubled efforts on improving literacy and eradicating poverty in the country.

Mtumbuka insists that on-going killings based on witchcraft beliefs, are but a result of poverty and ignorance of citizens.

His comments come in the work of the mob killing of three elderly people in Karonga who were thought to have been practicing witchcraft.
