Ntcheu Communities Push for Project Completion

Communities in Ntcheu North Constituency are demanding continuity of projects that were instituted by their former parliamentarian before their new legislator begins his own dream projects.

Traditional Authority (T/A) Njolomole told Zodiak Online Monday during an interface meeting with the new law marker that the demand is based on the fact that the community is suffering in the area because the projects which they thought would alleviate their problems remain unfinished.

“We are requesting him to complete teacher houses at Kadzakalowa, Satumba and Njolomole primary schools before embarking on any new projects,” said T/A Njolomole adding that a health facility at Chikhamwazi and some school blocks and bridges also remain uncompleted in the area.

Responding to the demands, the MCP legislator, Lymon Ziphondo, stressed on the need for community involvement in development projects saying without this, the efforts are meaningless.

“I will heed the calls by the communities,” said Ziphondo.

Meanwhile, National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) Public Trust, Ntcheu District Civic Education Officer, Alinafe Talimile, says she believes the MP shall walk the talk.
