Foster Bitoni will be desperate to prove that he is deserving of a permanent starting berth at silver Stadium, says Rodrick Gonani.

The striker finds himself back at Silver Strikers after he went for trials a couple of years ago but he was not successful.

A previous spell at Blue Eagles proved that the striker has what it takes to be a success in the TNM Super League.

He will, however, find himself under considerably more pressure at Silver Striker than he was accustomed to at Nankhaka Stadium.

Former Silver Strikers frontman Rodrick Gonani does not expect that to be a problem, with Bitoni having been acquired by Daniel Kabwe with a point to prove and the potential to offer something different to the Silver Striker’ cause.

“That’s what we are hoping for,” Gonani, speaking in an interview with Zodiak Online from Lilongwe.

“There are no doubts that he will do just that. He is a big supporter of the football club, he’s a fan. He wants to come here and do what he can for Silver Strikers, play to the best of his ability.”

“He’s got TNM Super League experience from his time at Blue Eagles FC, he did well there. He made the move to Silver Strikers one of the big teams in Malawi and will give it everything he’s got.

“Being a Silver strikers fan, he will want to prove that he’s good enough for the club.”Gonani said.

Bitoni could be handed his debut for the Bankers when they return to action at the 2020 EcoBank Charity Shield on March 14.
