Long Wait for Justice on Slain Learner in Thyolo

People in Thyolo should wait a little longer to see justice on a Standard 8 girl for Ntambanyama Primary School who was defiled and gruesomely murdered in January this year. This is because police are still investigating the incident.

After the incident, some suspected men were arrested and Thyolo police engaged Pathologist, Dr. Charles Dzamalala who took samples of the deceased and the suspects for a matching DNA test in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the district's police officer in-charge, Francis Chisoti told Zodiak Online on Monday that in conjunction with South East Police Region Headquarters, they are yet to conclude investigation on the matter.

Chisoti has however not stated whether the DNA results are ready or not.

"The investigations are still underway intensively with the involvement of the CID Regional Headquarters team. You will be informed once it is completed," he said.

Since then,    there have been little headways in court as the prosecution has been waiting for the results.

The 12 year-old learner was killed on her way from school and her body was found in a thick tea field.
