Making her presentation at the ICAM lakeshore Indaba, MRA Marketing Communication Manager, Wilma Chalulu said among others the revenue body has introduced an Agents Management Module on the Msonkho Online platform.

Chalulu said the Agents Management Module among others gives a facility to transact on behalf of clients electronically apart from allowing the tax payers to perform roles of an agent or an associate.

"It provides an option for taxpayers representatives to return tax or perform other tax guidelines on behalf of one or more taxpayers," said Chalulu.

She added that starting from first October this year the payment of TEVET Levy shall also be done electronically.

MRA introduced Msonkho Online to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in tax compliance and taxpayer service management by improving and automating the authority's business processes.

The Institute of Chartered of Accountants annual conference was convened from Thursday to Saturday this week under the theme, 'Creating Value, Building a Sustainable Economy Towards Malawi 2063'.

The conference attracted over 1300 delegates.
