Man Arrested for Possessing Suspected Stolen Items in Neno

Police in Neno have today arrested a 50-year-old man Finiasi Ngwinjiri on suspicion that he bought property suspected to have been stolen.

Neno police publicist Austin Kamwendo says upon interrogating the suspect, he revealed that he bought the property from a well-known suspected criminal who is currently at large.

"We received a tip from well-wishers that the suspect had some property which raised eyebrows of the villagers and we made a follow up which led to the arrest of the suspect," said Kamwendo.

The property include: Techo cell phone Pop 4, Solar Panel 150 watts, Kenwood speaker with its stand, Power Sonic Inverter 12 volts, Ecco Amplifier, professional shaving machine, two Humber bicycles, one Itel cell phone, one brand new gumboots, one Ecco Bluetooth speaker- blue in colour and its headsets.

The suspect hails from Kamoto Village in the area of Senior Chief Dambe and will appear in court soon to answer charges of being found in possession of stolen property.
