The supervisors are reportedly yet to receive their due compensations and the lack of payment has created frustration and discontent among the academic staff at MSG, raising concerns about the institution's commitment to fulfilling its financial obligations to its employees.

Addressing the issue, Dr Jessie Kabwila, Lilongwe Campus Director at MSG, characterized the matter as an internal affair not to be aired in public discourse.

"This issue is an internal matter, and it's not appropriate for public discussion," stated Kabwila.

Kabwila's stance on the matter has caused further dismay among the aggrieved supervisors, who seek transparency and resolution regarding the pending allowances owed to them.

"Despite fulfilling our responsibilities in overseeing the postgraduate students' work, we have not received our due allowances," said one of the aggrieved supervisors, who wished to remain anonymous. "This is not just about the money; it's about recognition for our efforts and fairness in compensation for the work we've done."

The unresolved dispute over the non-payment of supervisory allowances has strained the relationship between the faculty and the management of the Malawi School of Government.

Until a resolution is reached, the lingering financial dispute is expected to cast a shadow over the otherwise esteemed institution.
