Former Neno North constituency Member of Parliament Henry Zembere has died on Sunday after battling with Sugar and BP for a long time according to a family member.

Waste management during the Covid-19 pandemic, with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is increasingly becoming a problem in most district councils across the country, with Neno emerging as having no departmental waste management plan, a development which is hindering Water, Sanitation and Hygiene agenda.

FPAM Revives YAM in Neno

In a bid to make sexual reproductive health messages reach the youth for a reduction in number of teen pregnancies in Neno district, Family Planning Association of Malawi has revamped its youth arm, Youth Action Movement (YAM) with an aim of making teen pregnancies history in this Covid19 era.

In a bid to minimize climatic shocks that people face during disasters, especially for those in rural and hard to reach areas, Neno District Disaster Desk Office has drilled Village Civil Protection Committees (VCPC'S) on how to forecast a disaster through signs and symptoms and mitigate the impact.

Owner of I-TECH Solutions, Israel Kondowe, has donated Covid-19 prevention materials such as face masks and sanitizers to Neno CCAP Church.

Due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the country, children’s return to Early Childhood Development Centers is still uncertain.

In the just ended Fresh Presidential Election and in the whole genesis of the journey, the youth were at the centre stage, advocating for a wind of change which at last blew across the country.
