Ecobank Malawi has been recognized as the top banking service provider in export financing by the National Product Magazine.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
A Testament to Ecobank's Commitment
Grace Mphepo, Ecobank Malawi's Head of Operations, expressed satisfaction with the award.
"We are deeply honored to receive this recognition, which reflects our dedication to providing innovative trade finance solutions that drive the growth of Malawi's export market," she said.
Facilitating International Trade
National Product Magazine's Managing Director, Arthur Chinyamula, highlighted Ecobank's critical role in facilitating international trade and driving the growth of Malawi's export market.
Ecobank's Pan-African footprint, spanning 35 countries, enables businesses to connect with opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Government Support for SMEs
At the event, Minister of Trade and Industry Sosten Gwengwe announced that the government plans to provide financing to SMEs across the country using a K700 billion World Bank grant.
The 110th edition of the NPM annual awards and banquet ceremony brought together industry leaders from across the SADC region to celebrate excellence under the theme "Strengthening Private Sector Development in the SADC Region and Unlocking Trade Barriers."
