Man Shoots Himself Dead in Neno
A man identified as Leonard Likongwe who has been ill for some time has shot himself dead using a hunting rifle.
Neno Police Officer-In- Charge Hanleck Chingolo and a Matope community member, Amos Salim have confirmed to Zodiak Online but they say the motive behind this is not yet known despite leaving a suicide note whose contents are yet to be revealed.
Chingolo says the deceased asked his wife to roast some maize but the moment the wife was outside the house, she heard a gunshot coming from their home.
Burial ceremony is taking place today, Thursday, at Matope.
The deceased, who is a son to the late Senior Chief Symon the 2nd, hailed from Phalira village in Matope under Senior Chief Symon's area.
